Alison Brunsdon is a strategic, global talent leader with over 30 years of experience across major sectors and disciplines of HR. She is an experienced coach to leaders, teams, and individuals, who has the vision and proven ability to drive transformative organizational change.
As ERC’s Chief Professional Development Officer, Alison leads the development of learning solutions for our clients based on current trends and concrete research. She works with the ERC team of professionals to ensure that we provide effective training, consulting, coaching, and assessments that address our clients’ needs and goals.
Prior to ERC, Alison served as the Global Director of Talent Management and Chief Talent Officer for The Lubrizol Corporation, a specialty chemical company with 9,000 employees in more than 20 countries. She joined Lubrizol in 2002 in the United Kingdom. While Alison was serving as the Human Resources Director for EMEAI, she was recruited to the U.S. to set up a global talent development function. She transformed disparate training departments into international functions with world class leadership development programs and strategic talent programs and processes.
Alison received her Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in industrial relations and law from the University of Kent in Canterbury, U.K. and her Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of Leicester, U.K. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring from Oxford Brookes University, U.K., and she is an accredited adjunct coach with the Center for Creative Leadership. Alison is certified on several psychometric assessments, questionnaires, and assessment use and design.
Outside the workplace, Alison serves as Co-Chair of the Governance Committee on the Board of The Gathering Place, a nonprofit supporting those touched by cancer. She also has her own executive coaching company, Hartington Consulting LLC, to manage global assignments and nonprofit work.
Alison is an active member of her church. In her free time, she likes to travel, cook, sing, hike, swim, and practice Pilates.
