Chris Kutsko

Vice President of Strategic Accounts

Chris oversees the sales growth of all ERC business lines including, professional development, membership, engagement, and consulting. She excels at partnering with ERC clients and members to identify challenges and scope needs, create the best-fit solutions, and inform them of the full range of ERC’s service offerings.

With over 35 years of experience in the talent development and training profession, Chris has a unique perspective that is highly respected by people and organizations. She has built a reputation for working with clients to design high-quality, customized solutions with her strong background in instructional systems design (ISD), training needs assessments and organizational development services.

Previously, Chris served as ERC’s Vice President, Learning and Development, where she focused on helping organizations and industries of all sizes scope their training needs, match their competencies to the best-fit development programs, and create a formalized training solution that is founded on individual, departmental, and organizational needs.

Chris came to ERC in 2005 as Director of On-Site Training. Prior to this role, she was a founding partner of The Capstone Group, Inc, a training and consulting firm located in Northeast Ohio. Her professional career includes positions such as:

Manager of Corporate Training and Development for The Marcus Corporation, Milwaukee, WI, Training Specialist for the University of Texas, Health Science Center Training Manager for Texas Children’s Hospital, Texas Heart Institute, and St. Luke’s Hospital Independent Contractor with Stouffer Hotels and Resorts, operations group.

She has also served in other roles such as Project Manager, Sales Manager, Client Relations Manager, and Training Designer for two boutique training and consulting firms in Northeast Ohio, Technicomp and Marplex. Chris has experience in all aspects of training and development, including assessments, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and project management.

Prior to her work in talent development, Chris held a faculty position at The College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University in Minnesota, where she taught courses in management and human resources. During that time, she also served as Director of the College’s Women in Management program.

Chris holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from The Ohio State University. Chris is a charter member of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Society for Performance and Instruction (NEOSPI) and is a member of the Association of Talent Development (ATD). Chris also holds a certification in Sandler Sales Training and is a certified PXT Select Professional.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing golf, singing in the church choir, playing the piano, baking bread, and volunteering on the church HR Committee. She also serves as a board member and chair of the HR committee for the Rainey Institute.

Chris lives in Novelty with her husband, Pete and Golden Retriever, Tucker. Between them, Chris and Pete have six adult children and nine grandchildren.
