Valerie Lakios

As HR Consultant, Valerie serves as a team member on ERC’s HR Help Desk, where she provides members with information and professional guidance on a variety of HR and general business-related topics.

Valerie has more than 18 years of comprehensive HR experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee handbook development, policy and training compliance, employee relations, job description development, and training and development.

Prior to joining ERC, Valerie was an HR Business Partner at Jonathan Rose Companies where she focused on talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, performance management, goal setting, employee surveys, and employee relations. She also spent more than 14 years at Forest City Enterprises where she held roles in recruiting and training and development. Valerie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Florida. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in social and organizational psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Valerie is a Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP). She is also a member of the national and Cleveland chapters of SHRM.
