Program Description

Six Sigma’s goal is to improve the quality of a company’s outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects. In addition, it seeks to minimize variability in manufacturing and in overall business processes. It uses a set of proven quality management methods and creates a special infrastructure of people within an organization, such as Black Belts, Green Belts, etc., who become experts in these methods. Each Six Sigma project carried out within the organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has a quantified financial target, such as cost reduction and/or profit increase.

Many practitioners have combined Six Sigma ideas with Lean Thinking, made popular by Toyota. Lean addresses process flow and waste issues. The combination of Lean/Six Sigma serves as a foundation for innovation throughout the organization, from manufacturing and software development to sales and service delivery functions.

Participants are required to bring their own copy of Minitab Software.

Breakfast and networking begin at 8:30 AM. Breakfast and Lunch will be served each day.
