Margaret "Meg" Matejkovic assists employers by providing practical tools to develop and maintain positive, proactive workplaces.

Meg assists employers by providing practical tools to develop and maintain positive, proactive workplaces. Her work includes conducting workplace investigations, counseling and coaching sessions for managers, supervisors, and employees as part of professional development, and training on a variety of employment law-related topics.

She regularly counsels employers on all aspects of labor and employment laws (e.g., Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, USERRA, and related state laws) and has represented employers before state and federal Courts, the U. S. Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and State Fair Employment Practice Agencies.

Meg has over 20 years of private practice exclusively representing employers, and in-house employment, labor, and human resources law experience. After she served as associate dean for The University of Akron School of Law from 2005 until 2013, she opted to return to consulting with employers and the practice of law on a full-time basis. She continues to serve as an adjunct faculty member for Akron Law, teaching a course that she developed entitled, The Human Resources Lawyer. Meg received the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award in May 2016 and was named an Outstanding Alumnae in 2018, both by the Akron School of Law.

Meg currently serves as counsel with Kastner Westman & Wilkins, LLC. She has been a member of SHRM’s national faculty since 2013. Active in the Northeast Ohio community, Meg is the immediate past president of the Akron Bar Association.
